“Other Boys NYC is a potent antidote to mainstream gay media, which often fails to adequately include and represent the experiences of LGBTQ minorities.”
— Manuel Betancourt, VICE
“Growing up, queer Guyanese filmmaker Abdool Corlette did not see himself represented in media, and in 2014, he finally decided to do something about it.”
— Alamin Yohannes, NBC NEWS
“It’s a stunning tapestry of experiences that flips the dominant, hegemonic narrative of LGBT identity on its head, and will hopefully inspire critical reflection from viewers.”
— Andrew S. Vargas, REMEZCLA
“In a time when inclusivity is more important than ever, our culture has a tendency to see queerness from a singular point-of-view. Thankfully, Other Boys NYC focuses exclusively on narratives of queer and transgender men of color.”
