Logo Re-design

The GLAAD Awards logo has historically taken its branding from the iconic winged trophy. However, the logo felt very corporate and heavy. In order to lean into the winged motif, I wanted to included a hand drawn element to bring in a feeling of “change in motion.” I wanted to create an organic shape that would lend nicely to animation and motion design.

Animation & VFX

I wanted the animation and on-screen graphics to pull directly from the set design and cinematography. Since this show was shot during COVID, I knew that I wanted to create on-screen frames to elevate the self taped content and speeches.

The final designs incorporated fluid shapes, geometric cutouts, neon accents and archway motifs.
